Koth Khurd is a calm and well-organized village located in the
Hansi district, Haryana. In administrative terms,
the word “Khurd” means “small,” which distinguishes this village
from its neighboring larger settlement, Koth Kalan.
At present, the village is led by its Sarpanch, Mrs. Shakuntala.
Under her leadership, special attention is being given to paving
internal village streets and ensuring a regular supply of clean
drinking water, improving daily life for residents.
Socially, Koth Khurd has a simple and close-knit community
structure rooted in mutual brotherhood and harmony. Agriculture
is the main occupation of the villagers and forms the backbone of
the local economy.
The fertile land of Koth Khurd supports good production of wheat,
mustard, and fodder crops. Farmers are known for their hard work,
and animal husbandry plays a significant role in sustaining rural
livelihoods. Social life in the village is peaceful and
cooperative, with festivals celebrated according to traditional
Haryanvi customs. The younger generation is becoming increasingly
aware of education and is pursuing higher studies in nearby towns,
reflecting steady progress and development.
