History and Social–Agricultural Overview of Kheri Jalab

Kheri Jalab derives its name from the ancient “Jalab” clan or family that originally settled in this area. The village is well known in the region for its strategic location and strong social character.

At present, the village is led by its progressive Sarpanch, Mr. Manjeet. KheriJalab his leadership, special focus is being given to the development of modern facilities such as a sports stadium and a well-equipped library, aimed at encouraging youth participation in education and sports.

Socially, Kheri Jalab has a highly energetic and hardworking community. The youth of the village excel in traditional sports, especially kabaddi and wrestling. Agriculture forms the backbone of the local economy.
