Garhi Ajima is a historically significant village located in the Hansi district of Haryana. The word “Garhi” refers to a small fort or a protected settlement, indicating the village’s historical importance in terms of safety and administration. The name “Ajima” is believed to be associated with an ancient ruler or an influential personality from the past.

At present, the village is led by its Sarpanch, Mrs. Seema. Under her leadership, special emphasis is being placed on child education, nutrition programs, and cleanliness campaigns. Due to women-led governance, focused efforts are being made to improve internal village roads and effectively resolve waterlogging issues.
