Gamda village is a peaceful settlement in the Narnaund region, known for
its hardworking and simple people. The name “Gamda” is believed to be
derived from the word “Gam,” a local term for village, reflecting the
area’s pure rural character. Currently, the village is led by Sarpanch
Mr. Satish.
Under his guidance, efforts are being made to expand basic facilities
such as street lighting, paved drainage systems, and improvements to
the village playground, ensuring better opportunities for the youth.
Socially, Gamda has a simple and traditional environment. The villagers
are known for mutual affection and peaceful coexistence. Agriculture
is the mainstay of the local economy. The soil here is especially suitable
for mustard and gram cultivation.
Farmers are hardworking, and animal husbandry—particularly the rearing
of cows and buffaloes—is practiced in almost every household. Pure food
habits and dedication to hard work are defining characteristics of the
residents. The chaupal culture is still alive, where village issues are
resolved through mutual discussion. With its pollution-free environment
and lush greenery, Gamda stands as an ideal rural village.
