Dhani Puriya is named after a forebear or clan called 'Puriya'. Currently,
Mrs. Bhateri serves as the Sarpanch, focusing on primary healthcare and
early education for children in this small hamlet.
The social structure of Dhani Puriya revolves around agriculture. Most
residents are farmers, and the fields here flourish with crops throughout
the year. The village primarily cultivates wheat and pearl millet (bajra).
Advanced irrigation methods have improved crop yields. Women actively
participate alongside men in farming and animal husbandry. Socially, the
villagers celebrate festivals like 'Saanjhi' and 'Teej' with great enthusiasm,
keeping traditions alive. Dhani Puriya is a small yet self-reliant village,
steadily progressing through the hard work of its residents.
