Dhani Piran is believed to be named after a Sufi saint or 'Pir', whose
shrine or influence historically existed in the area. The term
'Piran' denotes the place of the saints. Currently, Mrs. Bhatri
serves as the Sarpanch, focusing on preserving the village's
cultural heritage and improving basic infrastructure such as
clean water drainage.
The social structure of Dhani Piran is tolerant and religiously
inclined. Residents highly value spiritual and social harmony.
Agriculture is the main livelihood; the fertile soil supports
primarily wheat and mustard cultivation. Being a dhani, farmers
maintain direct contact with their fields, ensuring careful crop
management. Animal husbandry is integral, with pure ghee and milk
contributing to the health of the villagers. The village environment
is peaceful, and traditional Haryanvi culture is still actively practiced.
