Dhani Kendu is a small settlement in the Hansi region whose name is
believed to have originated from the presence of “Kendu” (Tendu)
trees or from a locally used nickname. Over time, this settlement
developed into a well-organized dhani.
At present, the village is led by Sarpanch Mrs. Nirmala. DhaniKendu her
leadership, special attention is being given to women’s health
programs and child vaccination campaigns. For overall village
development, she has prioritized the construction of paved streets
and the availability of clean drinking water.
Socially, Dhani Kendu has a very close-knit and affectionate community,
where families actively support each other in times of joy and
hardship. Agriculture is the main livelihood, with farmers primarily
cultivating wheat and mustard.
The land here is fertile, and farmers are gradually adopting modern
techniques such as drip irrigation to improve productivity.
Animal husbandry serves as the second major economic pillar of the
village.
Social unity is very strong, and village elders continue to pass on
traditional values to the younger generation through stories and
life experiences. Dhani Kendu is known for its peaceful environment
and hardworking people.
