Dhamana village is a small and well-organized village located in the
Hansi block. The name “Dhamana” is believed to have originated from an
ancient clan or gotra settlement. According to some local folk tales,
religious rituals known as “Dham” were frequently performed in this
area, and over time, the place came to be known as Dhamana.
At present, the village is led by Sarpanch Mrs. Sukma Bai, who is
diligently overseeing development works and ensuring smooth village
administration.
Socially, Dhamana has a very friendly and cooperative environment.
Being a small village, community unity is one of its strongest
features. During times of joy or hardship, the entire village stands
together in support of one another.
From an agricultural perspective, the land here is of mixed quality,
allowing farmers to cultivate good crops in both Rabi and Kharif
seasons. The farmers are hardworking and skilled in achieving higher
yields with limited water resources, especially in crops like mustard.
Animal husbandry is an important pillar of the local economy.
The village has paved streets and a well-maintained sanitation system.
Socially, the traditions of Panchayat and Chaupal still play a vital
role in resolving disputes and maintaining harmony.
The peaceful environment and pollution-free air make Dhamana an ideal
village for a healthy and balanced rural lifestyle.
